# Configure booking times and requests

> Choose booking intervals, visit lengths, automatic acceptance, and booking emails.

Configure booking times and incoming requests.

## Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can change these settings for their shop. Staff can manage bookings, but cannot change the shop’s booking settings.

## Where

In the web app, select the correct shop and open **Settings → Booking settings**.

## Set times and group sizes

1. Set the minimum and maximum party size. Both must be at least one, and the maximum cannot be smaller than the minimum.
2. Under **Manage available durations**, add or remove visit lengths in minutes. Keep at least one duration.
3. Choose the **Standard duration** from those available lengths. Check it again if you remove the previously selected duration.
4. Turn **Allow guests to set visit duration** on if guests should choose from your available lengths. Otherwise, the standard duration determines the usual visit length.
5. Choose the **Time slot interval**. This is the gap between offered start times, not how long the guest stays. Opening hours and availability still apply.
6. Set **Mark as no-show after** in minutes. Review late arrivals and their actual status in the booking list.

## Check the start times guests see

Start times are counted from each opening time. If the venue opens at 18:10 with a 15-minute interval, the choices start at 18:10, 18:25 and 18:40. The applicable visit length must fit before closing, so the last offered start can be much earlier than closing time. Changing the interval does not shorten the visit.

The guest page checks party size and visit length. **on request** means a time needs review, including when automatic acceptance is off or no suitable table is available. **kitchen not open** is a separate notice; the time remains selectable. Neither label guarantees a table. Check the saved booking’s status and tables.

## Decide how requests arrive

Turn **Accept bookings automatically** on to confirm a guest request when a table can be allocated. A request without a suitable table remains pending for your team to review. Turning this off keeps guest requests pending for review. Bookings created by staff are confirmed when created.

Under **Email notifications**, enter a valid address in **Send notifications to**. Choose notifications for bookings from guests, bookings created by staff, or both. Walk-ins do not send these booking emails. These switches control venue emails, not acceptance.

To stop these emails, turn both notification switches off and save. Clearing the address alone does not disable them. Saving a blank address restores the owner’s registration email; the web app requires a valid address while either switch is on.

Select **Save changes** and wait for saving to finish. Reopen the settings to confirm the saved values.

## Platform and market notes

Use the web app for these settings in either supported market. Saving duration or interval changes in the mobile app can turn automatic acceptance back on. Afterwards, recheck **Accept bookings automatically** in the web app and turn it off if your team reviews requests manually.

Check your saved interval; 15 minutes is only an example. Changing the notification address does not change the account email.

The mobile interval picker offers 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes. An existing positive whole-minute interval also remains available, even when it differs from these choices.

In the mobile duration editor, tap **+** after entering minutes and check that the duration appears in the list. **Done** only closes the panel. Adding or removing a duration changes the unsaved settings immediately; closing the panel does not undo it. Recheck **Standard duration** before saving.

## Troubleshooting

If saving fails, check party-size limits, positive durations, the selected standard duration, and the notification email. A typed email must be valid even when both email switches are off. If a venue email does not arrive, check the booking list: a saved booking can exist even when its notification fails. Start-time intervals do not create extra tables or extend opening hours. If a requested visit cannot be accommodated, review its pending status and available tables before confirming it.
