# View devices and last seen

> Find registered devices and understand what their activity information means.

Review the device list before changing a device’s settings or sending it a payment. Device names, platforms, and **Last seen** help you identify the right phone or tablet and check when it last contacted Tapp.

## Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can open the shop’s full device management page. Staff can view their own device in **Profile settings** and select available payment devices during checkout, but do not have the full management page.

## Where

In the web app, open **Devices** from the side menu. Owners can also open it through **Settings**. In the mobile app, open **Profile settings**, then **Store Devices**. Check that the intended shop is selected before reviewing the list.

## Review the list

1. Find the device by name and platform.
2. In the web app, check whether it is under **POS devices** or **Other devices**.
3. In the mobile app, check the switch on its card to see whether it is enabled for POS.
4. Read **Last seen** to check when Tapp last heard from the device.
5. Before sending a payment, open the mobile app on that device and confirm that it is connected and ready.

The mobile list’s active count counts devices enabled for POS. It does not confirm that all of them are online. A recent **Last seen** time is also not a guarantee that a payment can start: the device may already be busy or may not support the selected method.

## Platform and market notes

The list is available in both supported markets. The mobile app updates its activity when it comes to the foreground. You can pull down on the mobile device list to refresh it. The web list shows how long ago contact occurred; the mobile list shows a date and time using the device’s time settings. **Never** means no usable activity time is available, not proof that the device was never used. Dates describe device contact, not staff attendance or completed payments.

## Troubleshooting

If the list is unexpectedly empty, refresh it while connected before concluding that devices were removed. Confirm the shop and sign in to the mobile app on the intended device. If **Last seen** is old, bring that device’s app to the foreground while connected. Similar names can belong to different devices; compare their platform and check with the team before deleting a row.
