# Navigate the web app and switch shops

> Find your way around the web app and choose the right shop before you make changes.

Use the side menu to move between your daily tasks and the shop picker to choose a location. Always check the selected shop before editing information, taking payment or reviewing its results.

## Who can do this?

The web shop picker lists locations where you are an **Owner or Manager**. Shops where you only work as Staff can be available in the mobile app. Your role can differ between locations.

## Where to do it

In the web app, open the side menu. The shop picker appears at the bottom of the side menu.

## Navigate and switch shops

1. Select a section such as **Overview**, **History**, **Menu** or **Point of sale**.
2. To change location, open the shop picker.
3. Choose the shop you want to work in.
4. Wait for the page to load that shop's information.
5. Check the displayed shop name before continuing your task.

The menu also provides access to bookings, guests, team members, shifts, notifications and other available tools. Administration links include shop details, settings, rooms and tables, devices and tipping settings where your role allows them.

The menu shows **Settings** to Owners. Owners and Managers see **Edit rooms and tables**, **Devices**, **Tipping** and **Offline orders**. A link appearing in the menu does not guarantee access to every action on that page.

If an **Unsaved changes** prompt appears, choose **Stay on this page** to return and save your edits first. **Leave without saving** discards those edits and continues to the selected page or shop. Save any work you want to keep before switching; not every screen shows this prompt.

## Use quick search

Choose **Search** at the top of the side menu, or press **Command+K** on a Mac or **Ctrl+K** on Windows. Type a page name, shop name or street address, then select a result. **Current** marks the selected shop under **Switch Shop**.

This menu searches its shortcuts and your available shops, not order contents or every app page. For a missing destination, use the side menu. Most shortcut labels are currently English. **Settings** appears for Owners; **Devices** and **Offline orders** appear for Owners and Managers.

Under **Actions**, **Toggle sidebar** collapses or expands the side menu. **Log out** signs you out. Save work before switching pages, changing shops or signing out; closing the search menu does not save your edits.

## Platform notes

This guide describes the web app. The mobile app uses a different navigation layout. Check the selected shop there too before starting a task.

Switching shops selects an existing membership. It does not invite you to a new location or change your responsibilities. Ask an Owner if a shop you need is missing.

For Owners and Managers, the mobile home screen offers shortcuts such as **Bookings** and **Live floor**. **Work** opens a choice between **Manage shifts** for the team and **My work** for your own work. Available shortcuts can vary.

If **Explore the web dashboard** appears, it opens an information panel. Open the displayed address on your computer; the address is selectable text, not a button that opens the web app on your phone.

## Market notes

Each shop keeps its own currency and business settings. When moving between Great Britain and Germany, review the shop details and the amounts shown before editing prices or taking payments.

## Troubleshooting

If the previous shop's information remains visible, wait for loading to finish. Before refreshing, save any edits you want to keep, then check the picker again. If access is unavailable, confirm your role for this specific shop with an Owner. Repeatedly switching locations does not change that role. Deactivated shops are also excluded from the shop list.
