# Manage tables

> Set up physical tables with seats, booking group sizes, rooms, and priorities.

Add a table for each physical table your team uses for bookings and service. Give it a recognizable name and check its seat count and booking group sizes. These settings help Tapp offer suitable tables and help staff identify them on the floor.

## Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can create, edit, and delete tables. Staff can use tables during supported booking and floor tasks, but cannot change this configuration. Confirm the selected shop before editing.

## Where

In the web app, open **Settings → Rooms & tables**. Add a table from a room section or the unassigned area. Use the table card’s **Edit table** action to change an existing table.

## Create or edit a table

1. Enter a unique **Table name**, up to 255 characters.
2. Set **How many seats** using the number control. The web form allows 1–50.
3. Set the minimum and maximum group sizes you want to book at this table. Each can be 1–50, and the maximum cannot be below the minimum.
4. Choose a room. For a new table, you can also choose **No room (unassigned)**. For an existing table, that option currently leaves its saved room unchanged. Reopen the table after saving to verify its room.
5. Choose **Booking priority**, from **Highest** to **Lowest**, or **Online hidden** to exclude the table from online booking assignment.
6. Choose **Create table** for a new table or **Save changes** for an existing one.
7. Review the resulting card before continuing.

Seats describe the physical table. Minimum and maximum group sizes describe the groups you want assigned to it. Set all three intentionally; changing one is not a substitute for checking the others.

## Remove a table

Check the live floor first and finish any seated visit before deleting its table. Use the table’s delete action and read the confirmation. Pending, confirmed or no-show reservations whose start time has not passed can block deletion. The check does not cover earlier starts, so inspect the full schedule yourself. The warning names at most five examples; review all affected bookings and reassign or resolve them first. Deleting a table also removes it from combined-table groups, so review any affected combinations afterward.

## Platform and market notes

These steps describe the web app in both supported markets. Table names remain as entered when the app language changes. To hide a table temporarily from online booking assignment, consider **Online hidden** instead of deleting it.

## Troubleshooting

If saving is unavailable, check the name and number ranges. If deletion is blocked, inspect the future bookings named by the message rather than repeatedly deleting. If a table is missing, clear the search and room filters and check **Unassigned**. Contact Tapp support if valid changes still fail.
