# Switch between shops

> Select the right location before reviewing activity or changing settings.

Switch shops to work with the orders, menu, bookings, and settings for another location. Check the shop name before making a change, particularly when several locations have similar names or you have different roles in different shops.

## Who can do this?

The web app’s shop selectors list locations where you are an Owner or Manager. The mobile app can also list shops where you work as Staff. Your role in the destination shop determines which controls you can use there; it can differ between locations.

## Where

Use the shop name and image at the bottom of the web app’s sidebar. Owners and Managers can also use the arrow beside the selected shop on **Shop overview** when more than one shop they manage is available.

## Select another shop

1. Save or cancel unfinished changes on the current page.
2. Open the shop selector.
3. Identify the destination by its name, logo or initial, and address where shown.
4. Select the destination and wait for its information to load.
5. Check the shop name on the page before editing or starting another task.

If a prompt warns about unsaved changes, stay on the current shop to save them, or continue only if you want to discard them. A switch that appears to return to the previous shop may be waiting for that decision.

## Different lists and roles

Both the web sidebar and **Shop overview** list shops you can manage as an Owner or Manager. A shop where you only have a Staff role may therefore be missing from these lists. Use the mobile app for your staff work and ask the shop’s Owner if your access needs changing.

## Platform and market notes

These instructions describe the web app in both supported markets. Shop settings, available payment choices, and displayed currency can differ between locations. Changing the app language does not select another shop or give you a different role.

In the mobile shop screen, tap the shop name to open **Choose shop**. Select a row by its name and address; a check marks the current shop. Switching to a different shop from this screen clears the current order from the device’s active view, including its payment-link display. It does not cancel the saved order or confirm a payment result. Finish or check an ongoing payment before switching, and return to the original shop to find its order.

When the mobile app reloads your shop list, it may select another available shop if the remembered shop is no longer listed. Check the selected shop after reopening the app; do not assume it is the one you last used.

## Troubleshooting

If the mobile picker is empty, the list may still be loading or may have failed to load without a message. Check your connection and account before assuming your shop access was removed. Closing and reopening the picker does not itself refresh the list.

If a shop is missing, refresh the list and confirm you are signed in to the intended account. Ask the shop’s Owner to check your membership if it remains unavailable. If the page and sidebar appear to show different locations, stop editing, resolve any unsaved-change prompt, and select the shop again. Contact Tapp support if they still disagree.
