Use the setup checklist to continue preparing your shop without starting again. It shows the next unfinished task and helps you return to shop details, your menu or business verification.

Who can do this?

The checklist is shown to the Owner, including a new owner who has not created a first shop yet. Managers and Staff use the usual app pages for the work their roles allow.

Where to do it

Sign in to the web app and look for the setup button near the bottom of the page. Its wording changes to match the current task.

Resume your setup

  1. Check that you are working in the intended shop.
  2. Open the setup button and review the completed and remaining tasks.
  3. Select the main action for the current task.
  4. For shop details, continue from the saved step that still applies to this shop.
  5. Save your changes and follow the next step shown.
  6. Before stopping, save the current form and wait for it to succeed. Then close the panel and return to the setup button later.
Remembering a step does not save every field you typed. Closing the panel can discard unsaved form entries; check the saved details when you reopen it. The usual order is required billing, shop details, menu, business verification and an onboarding call when one is required. A completed menu task needs at least one category and one item. An empty category alone does not complete it.

While a menu import is running

You can close the setup panel while Tapp imports a menu. The setup button continues showing the import progress. When processing finishes, Tapp can reopen the result so you can review what was created. Check the menu before adding a duplicate upload.

Platform notes

The mobile app uses its own prompts. Finish setting up your store can return you to a saved setup step. If you are adding a shop after another shop is already configured, it returns to industry selection instead. An older saved setup can reopen screens asking you to describe the shop’s atmosphere and What makes you unique? These are not part of the current direct logo-to-description flow. If they appear, choose one to five truthful options on each screen. Tap a selected option again to remove it, then use Next to save and continue. On the second screen, Next also requests a generated description, which can replace your saved wording automatically. Keep a copy of any wording you want to preserve before continuing. Reaching the menu screen does not prove generation succeeded: check the description afterward in Shop → Shop profile, correct inaccurate claims and save your preferred wording. If options fail to load or save, check your connection and retry; contact Tapp support if you cannot continue.

Market notes

Germany includes platform billing and fiscal setup. An onboarding call appears only when required for the business. It is normally required for Great Britain and not for Germany. Follow the actual task shown in your account.

Troubleshooting

If the setup button is missing, check your role and selected shop. It also disappears when the relevant tasks are complete. A booked call can still leave a reminder to check your inbox while the remaining review is outstanding. The inbox action opens your computer’s default email app. If nothing opens, check your email directly; do not book again just because that button did nothing. If a task appears incomplete, open it and check its result rather than starting another shop. Contact Tapp support if saved information is not reflected in the checklist.
