Set your weekly venue and kitchen schedule, including breaks and closed days. Use Exceptions for temporary changes.

Who can do this?

Owners and Managers can update hours for their shop. Staff should ask an Owner or Manager to change the schedule. Check the selected shop before editing.

Where

In the web app, open Shop overview and scroll to Opening hours. Choose Venue or Kitchen to select the schedule you want to change.

Set a day’s hours

  1. Choose the correct schedule tab.
  2. Use the day’s switch to mark it open or closed. This change saves immediately.
  3. For an open day, select its displayed hours to edit them.
  4. Enter opening and closing times. Choose Add period for another service period, or the remove control to delete an unwanted period.
  5. Select the checkmark to save the day, or X to discard your time edits.
  6. Review the saved times before editing another day.
Closing a day with its switch removes its saved periods. Reopening it starts with 09:00–17:00, so enter your actual hours again. X only discards the time edit; it does not undo an earlier open/closed switch. Use Exceptions for a temporary closure instead of changing the regular week. Save or cancel the current day’s edit before changing another day or switching between Venue and Kitchen. To close a day, use its switch after leaving the time editor; the last period cannot be removed.

Split and overnight service

For a break, use separate periods such as 12:00–14:00 and 18:00–22:00. Periods may touch but must not overlap. A closing time earlier than the opening time means the service ends the following day: 18:00–02:00 continues past midnight. These editors require different opening and closing times.

Change hours in the mobile app

Open Shop → Opening hours, then choose Venue or Kitchen. Review every weekday and the holiday row before saving. A day without saved hours can show suggested hours of 08:00–18:00; check them against your actual schedule.
  1. Switch each day open or closed. These mobile changes are not saved immediately.
  2. Select a period, adjust its opening and closing times, and choose Confirm. This updates the draft only. Closing the time picker without confirming discards that time edit.
  3. Use Add period for a break in service. Review the suggested new period. Remove unwanted extra periods; use the day’s switch to close it rather than trying to remove its last period.
  4. Switching tabs keeps both drafts while this screen stays open. Save changes saves only the selected schedule; save Venue and Kitchen separately before leaving.
  5. Reopen the screen to check the saved hours.
In the circular time picker, drag either end of the opening period to change its start or finish in five-minute steps. Drag the band between the ends to move the whole period while keeping its duration. Screen-reader users can adjust the opening and closing controls separately. Check the displayed times before confirming, especially when a period crosses midnight. Resolve any overlapping periods before saving. If Add period reports no space, adjust the existing periods first.

Platform and market notes

In both supported markets, review National holidays as well as weekdays. Holiday dates depend on the shop’s holiday calendar. Kitchen hours follow venue hours until you save a kitchen weekly schedule. Saving any kitchen day creates a separate schedule, so check every kitchen day afterward. Later venue changes will not automatically update that separate kitchen schedule. For service after midnight, also check the previous day. A Friday period of 18:00–02:00 continues into Saturday morning even if Saturday is marked closed. To close from midnight, adjust the Friday period too; a Saturday closure does not shorten it.

Troubleshooting

If times will not save, complete both times for every period and remove overlaps. If a particular date still differs, check Exceptions and the holiday row. Contact Tapp support if valid hours repeatedly fail to save.
