Your shop role determines which reports you can use. Advanced Analytics is available to Owners and Managers. Staff access to individual performance figures does not include every report for the business.

Who is affected?

This guide is for Staff and for Owners helping a team member with access. Check the role for the selected shop, because one person can have different roles at different locations.

Where to see it

In the web app, you may see Overview in the side menu even when some of its information is unavailable to your role. The View analytics entry leads to reports that require Owner or Manager access.

Check your reporting access

  1. Confirm the shop selected in the shop picker.
  2. Check your role for that location with an Owner.
  3. If you are Staff, use the performance information available to your account and the operational pages for your work.
  4. Ask an Owner or Manager to review business-wide Analytics when those reports are needed.
  5. If your responsibilities have changed, ask an Owner to review whether your role should change.
A visible menu item or a saved link does not change your access. An access message also does not mean that the shop had no sales. Check the message before treating a missing figure as zero.

Personal and shop-wide figures

Some reporting available to Staff is limited to their own work. For example, the daily sales series counts completed orders recorded as completed by the signed-in Staff member. An order you helped create or serve may be absent if someone else completed it. Do not assume it shows the whole shop or compare it directly with an Owner’s total without checking its scope. Advanced Analytics and voice-ordering analytics require Owner or Manager access. Staff cannot gain access to those reports by selecting a different reporting period.

Platform and market notes

These navigation notes describe the web app. In the mobile app, Staff can also review their own tip shares. That summary shows assigned shares, not every tip collected or proof of a payout. It does not grant access to shop-wide Analytics. The role requirements apply in both Great Britain and Germany; changing language does not change your permissions.

Troubleshooting

If access remains unavailable after a role change, sign in again and check the selected shop. If the same problem continues, contact Tapp support with the report name and the message shown. Use your own account when working in Tapp.
