The live floor helps the team see who is seated and which tables need attention. It combines active visits with reservation information, so read the table’s label, guest details, and timer together before choosing an action.

Who can do this?

Owners, Managers, and Staff can use the floor for their shop. Owners and Managers configure rooms, tables, and saved room layouts.

Where

Open Live floor in the web app and check the selected shop.

Choose a room and view

Select All to see the floor across rooms, or select a room to focus on its tables. If a table seems missing, return to All before changing its setup. When at least one room has a saved layout, Map and List are available. The map shows table positions; rooms without a saved layout still appear as cards. The web app remembers your chosen view when browser storage is available. Without saved room layouts, it uses the list of table cards. In the map, select a table and choose View details. Tables without a usable map position appear below the room map under Unplaced; that means their position is missing, not that they are free. The map position helps locate a table physically; it does not define its booking capacity. Small tables on the map may omit guest counts or timers. A visible map timer shows only a duration; select the table to see whether it means an upcoming arrival, time left or an overdue booking. The online-hidden label can appear alongside occupancy information, so read both.

Read the table information

  • Available: no active party is seated. Check any upcoming reservation before offering the table for a longer visit.
  • Occupied: an active visit holds the table. Its expected end helps plan service, but the table remains occupied until the visit is closed.
  • Upcoming or late booking: check the named guest and time. An unseated late reservation may offer both seating and a no-show action. A timer alone is not proof that the guest will not arrive.
  • Online hidden: the table is hidden from online booking, but staff can still use it during service. This label does not mean the table has no seated guests or cannot be used.
A pending request may suggest a table without reserving its capacity. Review the booking’s actual status and availability before confirming it.

Choose the next action

Use Seat now for an arriving party, open the table details to review orders, and use Extend time when the active party needs more time. Free up closes a seated visit; Free up table for an overdue, confirmed, unseated reservation can record a no-show. Read the confirmation so you apply the intended action to the correct guest.

Platform and market notes

In the mobile app, search by table, room, or the guest name shown on the card. Select Filters and choose one table status. Occupied, Expiring (30 minutes or less left), and Closing (planned time reached) are separate filters. None closes the visit. To find a missing table, clear the search and choose All for both room and status. Check the device’s local date and time, especially across locations or after midnight.

Troubleshooting

The web floor refreshes seated visits about every 15 seconds while open; reservation information loads separately. A changing timer does not prove that all saved information is current. Wait for an action to finish and refresh before repeating it. Review Bookings for the full schedule. The web floor loads up to 1,000 pending or confirmed reservations for the device’s current date. A late reservation stops being the focus after its planned end, and an arrival within 20 minutes can take its place. Neither change cancels the reservation or records a no-show. If an online-hidden table’s state seems wrong, inspect its active visit and reservations separately. Contact Tapp support when the saved records and floor remain inconsistent.
